Strategy
New Gold’s Community Investment Program reflects our belief that communities should benefit and develop from our operations in both the short and long-term and sustain beyond our operation. We invest in sustainable community development that furthers our value of people and communities.
The Company’s strategic social investment focuses on four key areas: Arts, Culture and Recreation, Education, Environment, and Social and Community. Our funding approach strives to support initiatives and projects that have meaningful and long-lasting impacts within the communities where we operate.

Investments:
New Gold contributed $40,000 to recruit and retain physicians for communities within the Rainy River District to support access to quality healthcare.
New Gold provided $10,000 to the Our Hearts at Home Cardiovascular Surgery Campaign to bring live-saving cardiac procedures and care to over 1,000 patients annually, reducing travel and wait times for patients in Northwestern Ontario.
In partnership with several community organizations, $5,000 was contributed to facilitate knowledge sharing of traditional arts and cultural workshops to foster connections between communities.
$5,000 was contributed to the Out of the Cold Warming Centre which provides shelter for people experiencing homelessness during the cold months of the year.
New Gold contributed $1,000 to the Rainy River Community Garden project, providing residents with free access to garden plots, supplies, Kid’s Garden Club, and educational workshops.
New Gold provided the Emo Summer Recreation Program with $2,000 to promote healthy living by providing recreational activities for children in Emo and surrounding communities.
